Brian Cumming and Doug Grimsley tied for TP leadership in this year’s North American Open. Cumming had eight, including two tpo’s. Grimsley also had eight, with one TPO and one OTP (a TPO in which the TPer loses). “At least I get credit for a TP even if I lose,” Doug Grimsley told tournament director Mike Orgill. [...]

The complete block results can be seen here. The semi-final was between Ben Rothman and Leo McBride. Rothman won that match +17tp -3 +26tp 4th to 7th placings were decided with an all play all round-robin. The results of that were Grimsley beat Bennett +12tpo Bast beat Curtis +24 Grimsley beat Bast +3 Bennett beat [...]

Ben Rothman won the North American Open today in fine style beating Brian Cumming. He came back from a loss in game 1 (to a sixth turn TP by Brian) to take the second game +26TP (8th turn). The third game saw all four balls gathered within four feet of each other on the east [...]

Positions: 1 Brian Cumming (14/14) 2 Leo McBride (12/14) 3 Ben Rothman (12/15) McBride and Cumming did not play, but the result wouldn’t have changed the placings.
